Date: Saturday, June 29th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, including lunch break. Lunch is NOT provided.
Cost: $85 per student
This program is being offered in cooperation with Lecardo Marine Consulting. Attendees will be prepared to take their safe boating and personal watercraft license test. This is a one day program, including the test at the end of the program. All fees include the course, materials, and testing. Participants must be 10 years of age or older, and are not required to be affiliated with any fire, police or EMS organization. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT PAYMENT! Those accepted to the class will receive an email with payment information from Lecardo Marine Consulting approximately 72 hours prior to the start of the class.

Cost: $450 per student

Students enrolled in this program will be trained in pre-trip inspections, basic maneuvers, and over the road basic driving of fire apparatus, as well as basic hydraulics for centrifugal pumps. Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a certificate for basic pump operator as well as a certificate to apply for their 2Q Driver's license
Applicants must be sworn active members of a fire department of at least 18 years of age with a current State of Connecticut Class D license.

Firefighter I Training Program

Cost: $1050 per student for Valley Emergency Plan member town applicants.
$1150 for non-plan member applicants.
The cost of this class includes all program and certification fees. The cost of the required Jones and Bartlett Fundamentals of Firefighting, 4th Edition is NOT included in the cost of the course. Said book can be purchased from the Valley Fire School at cost.
This class will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday days beginning on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
Applications will be accepted until a maximum of twenty-five (25) applications are received.
Applicants must be 18 years of age on or before the first night of class, and sworn members of a fire department. Training authorizations forms downloaded from our online application page must be completed and signed by the Chief or Training Officer and returned with payment on or before the first night of class.
