Firefighter I Training Program
Hilltop Hose Company #5
80 Pulaski Highway
Ansonia, Connecticut
Cost: $1050 per student for Valley Plan member departments
$1150 per student for non-plan member departments
The cost of this class includes all program and certification fees. The cost of the required Jones and Bartlett Fundamentals of Firefighting, 4th Edition is NOT included in the cost of the course. Said books can be purchased from the Valley Fire School at cost.
This class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday days beginning on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
Applications will be accepted until Friday, April 24th, or until a maximum of twenty-five (25) applications are received.
Applicants must be 18 years of age on or before the first night of class, and sworn members of a fire department. Training authorizations forms downloaded from our online application page must be completed and signed by the Chief or Training Officer and returned with payment on or before the first night of class
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, ALL STUDENTS MUST WEAR MASKS OR OTHER APPROVED FACIAL COVERINGS AT ALL TIMES, AS WELL AS ANTICIPATE HAVING THEIR TEMPERATURE TAKEN AT THE START OF EVERY CLASSROOM AND PRACTICAL TRAINING SESSION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE GUIDELINES GOVERNING SOCIAL DISTANCING.

Firefighter II Training Program

Cost: $850 per student
The cost of this class includes all program and certification fees. The cost of the required Jones and Bartlett Fundamentals of Firefighting, 4th Edition is NOT included in the cost of the course. Said books can be purchased from the Valley Fire School at cost.
This class will be held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday days beginning on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Applications will be accepted until Friday, April 16th, or until a maximum of twenty-five (25) applications are received.
Applicants must be 18 years of age on or before the first night of class, provide proof of Firefighter I certification, and sworn members of a fire department. Training authorizations forms downloaded from our online application page must be completed and signed by the Chief or Training Officer and returned with payment on or before the first night of class
